“Many people think interior design is just fabrics, paint, and layouts, but it’s also very technical. That’s Where I come in.”

— Brooklyn VanderVeen

Hi! I’m Brooklyn.

Growing up with a contractor for a dad and an interior designer for a mom, I did not consider a career in design because I didn't have an "eye" for it. However, when I started working with my mom, I began to see all the other aspects of interior design beyond creativity. Since I am well versed in anything technical, I began to be inspired toward a new career path.

I am a vital part of an exciting team of go-getters at Interior Coordinates. Currently, I am in charge of all office management, accounting, 3D modeling, orders and follow ups. As you begin working with us, chances are you will be connecting with the work that I do to facilitate amazing designs that we create.

Beyond interior design, I am a teacher. I have a love for learning, and pursued my dream to become an elementary school teacher at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. After graduating, I became a 4th grade teacher while assisting part time with the daily needs of Interior Coordinates. A recent change from the traditional classroom setting to a hybrid teaching format will allow me greater flexibility to engage more with current and future design projects.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing pickleball, traveling and walking my black lab, Maisie. I also volunteer my time in the high school ministry at my church by supporting students through mentorship.
